Dr. Elaine Wu, DMD

Dr. Elaine Wu intentionally designed ReNEW Dental as a personalized, high-quality practice. Patients receive dedicated time and expert care.

Before treatment, a complimentary consultation ensures a good fit. Dr. Wu employs digital techniques, 3D scanning, lasers, and advanced dental cleanings with air polishing biofilm therapy. She also utilizes diagnostics like saliva testing to address issues related to coronary heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.

Dr. Elaine Wu earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry with summa cum laude honors from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2019. Recognized for academic excellence and character, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honors Society that same year. Boston University also awarded her the Department of General Dentistry Excellence in Implantology Award, for proficiency in dental implant planning, placement and restoration.

She went on to specialize in dental implant and denture treatments at Virginia Commonwealth University, then completed a rigorous 260-hour advanced training program at the Kois Center in Seattle, WA, becoming a full graduate. The Kois Center is an educational network where dentists work through a multi-year curriculum rather than a weekend seminar, and graduates go on to teach the cohorts behind them. That approach is why every case here opens with a Kois-trained evaluation before anyone proposes treatment, so you get a diagnosis before you get a quote.

Dr. James Wu, DDS, FRCD(C)

Dr. James Wu is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the surgical consultant and trainer at ReNEW Dental. He has been licensed in Massachusetts since 1997 and works alongside Dr. Elaine Wu on the planning of surgical and dental implant cases for patients here. His own practice has covered more than 6,000 dental implant surgeries, and that experience sits behind the implant planning at ReNEW Dental rather than beside it.

Both Dr. Elaine Wu and Dr. James Wu are distinguished alumni of the esteemed Kois Center for Advancing Dentistry Through Science in Seattle, WA. Furthermore, Dr. James Wu’s contributions extend beyond this; he serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Kois Center and holds the esteemed position of scientific advisor in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. James Wu’s dedication to education also finds expression in his role as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he has been nurturing the talents of future surgical specialists since 1997. Dr. James Wu eagerly imparts his extensive knowledge at ReNEW Dental, as a consultant, mentor, and the proud father of Dr. Elaine Wu.
