Dr. Elaine Wu
Dr. Elaine Wu graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honors Society, which recognizes high scholarship and character. While at Boston University, Dr. Wu also received the Department of General Dentistry Excellence in Implantology Award in recognition for high achievement in the planning, placement and restoration of dental implants.
Dr. Wu is committed to providing the highest standard of care to all patients and is dedicated to continued education. Post-graduation, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she gained further experience in comprehensive treatment planning and the restoration of complex conditions with crown and bridge and implant dentistry, including full-mouth reconstruction of missing teeth with traditional implants, as well as implant-supported denture prostheses. Dr. Elaine Wu belongs to a select group of doctors who have completed all the rigorous course work required to become a graduate of the Kois Center, a national and internationally renowned teaching center dedicated to Advancing Dentistry through Science.
Dr. Elaine Wu is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She is settling back into the Merrimack Valley, where she grew up and hopes to serve this community and their dental needs in the years to come.
Dr. James Wu
Dr. James Wu graduated from the University Of Toronto School Of Dentistry in 1992 and completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1997. He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in both the U.S. and Canada. His commitment to excellence in patient care has also led to his board certification with the American Board of Oral Implantology and membership with the oldest dental implant organization, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is the first full graduate and recognized specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with the nationally and internationally recognized Kois Center for Advancing Dentistry through Science. He is now the Scientific Advisor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the Kois Center.
Dr. James Wu performs a broad scope of treatment within his specialty and has a particular interest in complex dental implant treatment, including jaw reconstruction and Same Day Teeth, restoring patients to improved beauty and function. Since 1998, Dr. Wu has placed more than 4,500 dental implants working with multiple restorative dentists in the Merrimack Valley and the Greater Boston area. Dr. Wu was the surgical specialist on the team that completed the first Smile Today DIEM2® full-arch prosthesis in the Merrimack Valley. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Wu maintains a teaching position at Boston University as a Clinical Assistant Professor and staff surgeon at Boston Medical Center, instructing future members of his profession.
The Merrimack Valley has been home to Dr. James Wu, his wife and three children since 1993. Their desire is to be an integral part of the community, their church and local charities.
